The story centers around three sisters: Sylvia (oldest), Constance, and Jessica (youngest). The series begins with Constance flying home on a plane. Her mother had previously objected to her marriage so she ran off with her husband. However, her husband is tired of her and wants a divorce. Constance loves him and in order to keep him she hopes that she Jessica will lend her money so that her husband can open a business. Jessica is married to a rich man whose company is facing financial problems. On the other hand, Sylvia and her husband are facing a divorce but Sylvia tries to keep it a secret from her family.
Jessica writes Constance a check in hopes that she will leave. Her mother finds out that Constance's husband is a cheater, and so she interferes. This causes the check to bounce upsetting Constance's husband. They eventually divorce. When Jessica's husband's company is facing financial troubles, she and her husband seek Terrence (a rich tycoon) in hopes that he will invest in their company in order to save it. He initially agrees but backs out the last minute. In a desperate attempt, Jessica and her husband tricked Jessica 's father into lending them all his money. Her husband then fakes death to avoid all his creditors leaving Jessica with the financial burden. Sylvia and her husband divorce when she finds out he has another family out there. Despite the fact that Jessica is about to be bankrupted she continues to spend and go to balls. Constance catches her spending money at a expensive clothing shop and attempts to stop her from spending. She mentions how Jessica had tricked her own family for money. This is overheard by Terrence. Jessica becomes angry and starts saying hurtful things which causes Constance to cry. She sees a dress in a stall and tries it on. Terrence is waiting for his girlfriend to change when he sees Constance in the dress. When Constance leaves, the sales lady informs her that the gentlemen had bought the dress for her. She later finds out that the person was Terrence and that he is known to be a player.
Terrence and Calvin owns an entertainment company and they develop a rivalry. Calvin secretly works for Martin (Terrence's dad) because his dad wants him to learn an important lesson in business as well as in life. They end up on a bet where if Terrence loses a boat race then he will have to invest in Jessica's company and Terrence agrees to this. On the day of the race Calvin is disqualified for cheating and Terrence wins. Constance is kind hearted and wants to help Jessica after seeing her suffering so she seeks Terrence. She tries to convince him to help Jessica but he ignores her request. She follows him to his boat. However, theres a storm and she ends up stuck on his boat for 7 days.
Jessica is bankrupted and moves back home with her family. She ends up working for Melissa who is close friend of Martin. One of her job assignments has her being a tour guide for the wives of some wealthy husbands. One of them plays a prank on Jessica. However, Jessica knows about the prank from one of her coworker but pretended not to know on purpose because she wants Martin to rescue her and feel sorry for her. She goes on a boat ride with the wives and gets trapped in the cave. Martin finds out from overhearing the wives talking to each other and goes there to rescue her. She and Martin ended up dating even though he's much older then she is.
Meanwhile, Sylvia works for Calvin because she wants to follow a project that she is really interested in. She initially thinks Calvin is a jerk after an incident at a party and a series of pranks that he had played on her. However, her image of Calvin changes as Sunny (Kalvin's best friend) tells her more. She and Calvin eventually become a couple. Sunny gets really jealous of seeing the two of them together and quits his job. At first, Sylvia thinks that Sunny is secretly in love with her. However, she follows his friend to a gay bar and finds out that Sunny is gay and tells him that he doesn't have to leave because she and Calvin are together.
Terrence met Constance at a cafe near the jewellery shop where she works as a sales assistant. Eventually, they became friends. During that period, Constance started to date Derek. Not long after, they broke up and Constance started looking for another job. Terrence offered her to be his secretary but she declined. When Constance's mother finds out she tries to convince Constance to work there. However, when Terrence finds out his father is dating Jessica he attempts to stop them. He is biased against Jessica ever since he overheard how she had tricked her own family for money and is convinced Jessica wants money. When he tells Constance this, she defends her sister and becomes upset at Terrence. She went for the interview at Terrence's office but ended up working at a Japanese company. But some time later this company is acquired by Terrence's company and she ended up as Terrence's secretary.
Jessica introduces Martin to her family and her dad is extremely upset. He tells his wife that he does not want someone who is older than he is. The thought of that makes him sick. Eventually Martin finds out that Jessica knew about the prank when his close friend Melissa tells him. Martin breaks up with Jessica and she is devastated.
Due to her job Jessica has to go away for a while and Constance goes to work as Terrence's secretary. One day, Terrence confesses his feelings to Constance but she avoided him by saying that he's only joking. After much persistence, they start dating. However, at almost the same time Jessica returns with Martin. It was revealed that they had gotten married. When Jessica's mother finds out she throws a fit. Jessica reveals that she only disagrees with her and Martin because she had wanted to set Constance and Terrence up. Because of this Constance knows she can't date Terrance any more. Her mother put up a scene and indirectly forces her to give him up. Sylvia knew about what her mother had done and decided to help Constance. Finally after some twists, Constance had the courage to be with Terrence again.
Meanwhile, Sylvia becomes annoyed that Calvin is spending so much time with work. They end up fighting at his company when he suddenly has an asthma attack. She thinks it is one of his pranks and begins to leave. However, she comes back to find out he is serious. She can't find his medication. Right at that moment Sunny comes in. He saves Calvin. Sylvia realizes that she is a bad girlfriend and that the one Calvin really needs is Sunny. She decides to break up with him but before she does Calvin takes her to meet his mom. On the same day she breaks up with him. Even though they had broken up, Calvin is still concerned about Sylvia's feelings. Even though he is still in love with her, during his job he meets a woman and they start dating. The woman he is dating thinks that Calvin is still in love with Sylvia and tells Sylvia to find a boyfriend of her own and get married so she knows that she doesn't love him anymore.
